Calling All Classrooms and Families: Make Your Eco Hero Pledge! Eco Heroes by Ike invites K-8 classrooms and families to make a difference by participating in our pledge contest! Show your commitment to kindness toward the planet and people through creative environmental actions that inspire positive change.

How to Participate

Create Your Eco Hero Pledge: Collaborate as a classroom or family to brainstorm and develop a meaningful pledge focused on eco-friendly actions. Submit Your Presentation: Your submission should include a 5-8 slide presentation with: - Your group’s Eco Hero pledge. - Photos, drawings, or short stories showing specific actions you’re taking to care for the planet and others. Register & Submit Your Entry: Send your pledge presentation to info@ecoheroesbyike.com in PDF or PowerPoint format by April 7, 2025.

Contest Rules & Judging Criteria

Contest Rules Eligibility: Open to all K-8 classrooms and families in Michigan. Submission Requirements: - Presentations must have 5-8 slides. Include visuals, such as drawings, photos, or illustrations of your eco-friendly actions. - Email your submission to info@ecoheroesbyike.com. Original Work: Ensure all work is original and reflects the efforts of your classroom or family. One Entry per Group: Each family or classroom may submit one entry. Groups of 2-30 welcome. Deadline: Entries must be received by April 7, 2025. Parental Consent: Photos with children must have parent/guardian consent. Judging Criteria Kindness to Planet and People (40 points): - How does your pledge reflect care for both the environment and others? - Are your actions thoughtful and inclusive of your community? Creativity and Innovation (30 points): - Are your ideas unique, inventive, and inspiring? - How well did you use visual elements (photos, drawings) to tell your story? Environmental Stewardship and Impact (30 points): - How well does the pledge address environmental challenges like recycling, sustainability, or waste reduction? - Are the actions taken meaningful and measurable?
